Guest guest
-----Original Message----- I'm getting a liver biopsy soon (I haven't had one in a while) since my Dr says it's the only way to accurately determine the 'stage' you are in. I'm a little worried about that. Bah Hum Bug ! Please don’t put too much stock in staging. The one thing we know for sure about PSC is – no two people are alike. My son’s GI (after his transjugular biopsy) diagnosed him in 1999 as stage 4 (end stage). All of Ken’s tests, MRI, CT, labs etc. agreed – know what difference the “stage” made? None. That was 7½ years ago and Ken is still going strong. I was a huge big momma worry wart for a long time because of that diagnosis. Thank goodness Dr Aubrey came to my rescue and made sure I understood that no matter what the all the blood tests, MRIs, CT and Ultra Sounds reveal – judge your own health by the way you feel. Feeling good? Good for you! Not feeling too good? Wait awhile, things are likely to improve. When and if you get to the point that you know it’s time for a transplant, deal with it then. Until then…..Live, Love, Laugh. Barb in Texas - Together in the Fight, Whatever it Takes!
