no, he doesn't go in unless it's storming and they have to get him in there first so he goes to the top roost and doesn't climb all over everyone else to get there...I think that is how it goes. Otherwise he sleeps on top outside the hen house. It is very entertaining for them as he will tolerate a few strokes and will follow if they don't make sure he is settled before leaving for the night. I made them a turkey quilt with layers of applique, very nice, very textured, very happy to have finished it lol! I'll attach a pic~Dee
