Guest guest
There are about 25 members that have reported AIH in addition to PSC (there are probably more). Ages range from 10 to 56 (there are a couple at 15-16), with the majority in the 30-50 range. I too was diagnosed and seriously ill with AIH 2 years after the PSC diagnosis. It is unusual for a 17 year old or in general? I am 45... Thanks. Guest guest
I've heard that 10-20% of PSCers have AIH. I'm one of those people. I take Imuran & prednisone to control the AIH, which fortunately seems well controlled. However, it makes me a more complicated patient for my doctor to care for.Marie To: From: c0bralvr@...Date: Wed, 5 Mar 2008 19:40:12 +0000Subject: Re: AIH 2 yrs after diagnosis of PSC: an unusual overlap syndrome in a 17-year-o I am curious how many other have this overlap.
