My platelets have slowly but steadily decreased over the past few years, and are

now right at

100 (and, yes, my spleen has gradually gotten larger and larger). This means

that I bleed like

a stuck pig over the slightest thing. We've begun to wonder what will be done

(and when) to

stabilize this.

My daughter's platelets have remained high at around 525. I've always

wondered why but haven't gotten many good answers except that it is

inflammation somewhere.
