Guest guest
Hi I am a dancer and have returned to teaching dance ands also Pilates after my Left Hip Resurfacing with Dr Kennedy in Sarasota FL. I also know of several other dancers on this site who have returned to their dancing. It is possible! My hip feels so normal I feel " anything " is possible:-) Starrett is how I found out about Resurfacing when I saw the Dateline program on TV. I caught the program merely by chance but it sent me on a path of discovery with resurfacing. I spoke with , oh. . .it must be 3 years ago by now, but his story goes that after having a simultaneoues bilateral resurfacing by Dr Amstutz he returned to the stage to peform. It took alot of PT and determination but he did it entering the stage with a tombe pas de bouree glissade Grand Jete! The crowd went wild! JRI has x-rays of doing the splits post surgery. He is still with the Columbia City Ballet now. Works a long 40+ hour week, does not perform anymore but teaches company class. I am so thrilled to read post at 12 years! I know of dancers who have had the standard THR proceedure by top surgeons but had o have revision surgery at 8 years. I so want he long run! as you esearch you'll find many movment options with Resurfacing! I hope this helps Best Alyce LC2K Wm Kennedy 5/23/
Guest guest
Hey all, I've joined to your group recently and I'm very happy to see that here we have a lot to share to teach and learn. I was very dissapointed when I couldn't find any curing for PSC but now I'm hopeful about it than we all can do something together at least to cope with symptoms in the ways we suggest, find more about PSC and work on it as I do I myself work on PSC to find a way for curing by consulting with my doctors and surgeon. I'm melvyn from Tehran now, Im 20 years young and I got sick a month before my 17 birthyear. and my PSC is somehow advanced as I take 6 Ursobil 250 mg and 2 Rifpamin 150 and I still have itching. I just really dont want to fall in liver transplanting. I forgot to say I had an operation called Whipple and Cholecyctectomy ( removing gall bladder, removing part of [duodenum, colon, pancreas, bile ducts]. anyhow, this is too short for what I carried but I hope God helps us to feel the grace of health again and I always tell him that how much I love to be a father someday! Happy to join you all Melvyn
Guest guest
Hi Melvyn, I am sorry to learn about your diagnosis with PSC, but happy you found.us. I am doubly happy because we haven't too many people in this group from of our part of the world. This group is full of knowledgeable, warm people you can ask just about anything, and even get an answer. Please don't be offended by some Israeli welcoming you, ideologies and religion should't matter on this forum. I always answer posts at this time of the day, and I don't want to make an exception just because you are from Iran. We all are in the same PSC boat, and PSC does not differentiate between people of different countries and faiths. I hope that sometime in the future we can together organize a regional meeting like the one the US members have organized in ville in May. Once again welcome, Chaim Boermeester, Israel From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of m.massoumi Sent: Wednesday, March 12, 2008 08:35 To: Subject: HOPE Hey all, I've joined to your group recently and I'm very happy to see that here we have a lot to share to teach and learn. Guest guest
Hi Cris, it's a very bitter story to see that's your daughter's cross to bear this psc and Im very surprised to see such a similar story. Lack of knowledge, yes. I used to complain after seeing some cancer patients that why there's no absolute cure for that but that's funny I got stuck in PSC that's not much better than cancer. I'm a civil engineer student I even changed my mind to go to study medicine this way I could research better on PSC but I got a better idea to do research beside a doctor. I promise I'll do my best to help those who are suffering psc. I'm editing my medical tests in a presentation to share it in group to get more about psc. How is your daughter now? I hope her body is not itching as mine does and I'm sick of that. I'd like to know more about her psc, what operations has she experienced ever? And what medicines is she taking now? Wish you all the best grace, Health Melvyn > > Hi Melvyn > Your story is very similar to my daughters.
