I JUST GOT THE call - NEED ADVICE!!!!

Just got the call. A 74 year old male, and he has

antibodies for Hep B. I have an immunity to Hep B.

This is a liver I can turn down because of the liver.

I am not the #1 person, I am the backup.

I am froze making the decision.

We will pray that God helps you with this decision. I guess the good news is

that you are getting so close. We hope it happens soon and the terrible symptoms

you have endured are finally put behind you. It's time you felt like hunting

again.

Hi Cindy,I have no advice to give you - this is a tough decision for you to make. I'd just get as much information as possible from your doctors as to the risk of accepting this liver. If you have immunities to Hep B then maybe it's okay. But I'll be thinking of you, and certainly wishing you the very best. I know you've had a tough road. Nice to know you are this close to the top of the list!Marie

I just have to say... WOW! Wow to how you supported a person going

through a crisis. And WOW to making such a difficult choice. I would

agree with you, you made a good decision. You do want to go into such a

surgery as healthy as possible.

With tongue in cheek I say, " enjoy, the roller coast ride of waiting

for the call " . I know when my husband was going through it is was

crazy! But I will tell you that when we got the final call, some how

we " knew " that this was the one. I can not tell you how we knew it, but

as we were in the final minutes of a 3.5 hour drive we looked at one

another and I said, " I think this is it, this is going to happen " . He

said, " I think so too. " 24 hours later he was in ICU with his new

liver.
