Under Common Symptoms:

The only thing I'd note is that many report vomiting with cholangitis episodes

(I've not), and many report pale stools/dark urine (I have).

Under Antibodies:

I can't remember any discussion on antibodies - either at initial diagnosis or

followup at Mayo (but I may have not been paying attention either!).

Under Colonoscopy:

A quick look at the internet descriptions (wrt anus) shows about an equal

division between the use of anus, rectum and no mention.

In conclusion ----- I wish I'd had this 8 years ago!!!!!!! Great job!

, I thought your brochure was very informative. It is very detailed and thorough. Some parts are very technical and I just skimmed over them. But it is good information to have as a reference when I have more questions, especially about the lab levels.Martha B.(mom of Matt, UC 5/07, PSC 6/07) wrote: Dear All; I would appreciate any feedback (positive or negative) on a draft of a brochure on "PSC Diagnosis", available for download at: http://www.pscpartners.org/PSCDiagnosis.pdf Thank you, Dave R. Anus had

I would use right upper quadrant since that is what the medical field

uses. I vote for rectum, I have a hard time thinking I would say anus

to a pt face to face. Also did I total miss the " treatment " part of

this brochure.

Dear ,

Thanks for doing a great job on the brochure.

I thought that i would let you know about some few points and so you can decide

if you would like to add them or not:

Pain: That the Upper Right Quadrant pain does radiates into the Back, right

side, and to the right shoulder, sometimes, too. Recently my pain has started to

radiates into my shoulder blade, a lot.

Cholangitis Attacks: when there is a sludge in the bile duct [no fever] but

accompanied by chills, too [for myself], pain and nuasea.

Joint and Muscle pain, in general.

I do not know if you would like to add depression, as a symptom, too. I guess

that is caused by fatique, anyway.

So much appreciation for your continous and unrelentless efforts for our group.

,It was really nice to finally meet you.As to the brochure, I thought it was great. I would use the term RUQ (right upper quadrant) - I think that's the term used most frequently. Also, I would have a few words in there about treatment (or lack thereof) and prognosis, since that is upper most in the minds of those newly diagnosed.Marie
