Funny you mentioed that, the Dr's other suggestion is to tear out all carpets and replace with wood flooring.

Re: Severe asthma with PSC

This is the first I've heard of asthma being another component of the lovely world of PSC/UC. No allergies around here (touch wood) except for Jens with some seasonal stuff. We have a dog (Shiba Inu) who loses fur like no tomorrow, and used to have two cats. Like Arne, we have hardwood floors. I wonder how much asthma and allergies are aggravated by wall-to-wall carpeting? I've never lived with it.Colleen

Re: Severe asthma with PSC

,My mom was a realtor for over 20 years and I;ve been in a lot of houses in my day. I would NEVER live with wall-to-wall -- it's just a place for dirt and germs and mites to hunker down and breed. Gross! With hardwood, you can drag your rugs out and get a little fresh air and sunshine on them from time to time. We have just small area rugs in our bedrooms and I am going to get rid of the one on my husband's side of the bed soon. If you rip out the carpets and install hardwood, you will increase your property value, too!Colleen>> Funny you mentioed that, the Dr's other suggestion is to tear out all carpets and replace with wood flooring.
