I still like my new gastroenterologist!

You may remember that I was very happy with my new gastro earlier this year, but I thought that a "routine" visit would be a sure test of how our partnership would be.

I was not disappointed! She listened, did not second guess me, confirmed that she found no evidence, microscopically or visually, of UC -- but was careful to say that the previous GI may have seen something that is in remission -- and is a generally thoughtful person who is not annoyed by my questions and (sometimes) half-baked opinions.

If anyone is dealing with an unresponsive doctor as I was, I would recommend that you find someone else to treat you. This disease is challenging enough without having to deal with a doctor who bristles when you ask a question! Having a good working relationship means a lot to me.
