What pain meds work the best?

My Dr. gave me Ultram, which is like taking a baby asprin.

I have been on Vicoden, Perkocet, and Demerol for my headaches. The

Demerol does help, but in high dosages.

I read about some of you going to the ER. I had a bad experience a few

years ago where the doctor accused me of being a druggie when I was

having headaches. (prior to my Dx.) I was 32 and had my parents and

DH with me and he basically kicked me out of the ER.

I also have APA syndrome, so I get the other extreme when I complain

of headaches and they know I have a clotting disorder.

Any advice?
