Guest guest
A ferritin of 16 will not allow ANY thyroid meds to be utilized properly. Most people can't tolerate thyroid meds if their ferritin is under 50. Taking T3 with a ferritin under 50 may cause adrenal stress, as well as other symptoms, here's a post from Val on the subject: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/message/43462 There may well be other adrenal issues present in addition to the ferritin problem. Perhaps try posting this to the adrenals group, here's the link: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > > Is low ferritin of 16 bad enough to make you " reject " synthroid meds? Everytime I take it I get jittery, thighs get heavy, heart rate speeds up, nausea, lightheaded, and increased hand tremors. I plan to switch to T3 eventually, but I can't even tolerate this. Or does that sound adrenal? Thanks. >
