Guest guest
Randy, This is a relatively typical description of a bacterial cholangitis attack. Sudden chills, possible nausea and fever, flue like symptoms of aches and fatigue - itching, light colored stool, dark urine, jaundice are also possible. It IS something to see your doctor about or go to the ER. The infection (if that is what it is) can spread and become sepsis (blood poisoning), which is very serious. Antibiotics are a typical treatment. Untreated, cholangitis will sometime resolve, but often recurs with increasing severity. Get seen by a doctor and treated soon. Today at work when I went out to lunch (lunch is one hour) after eating I started to shiver uncontrollably and was very cold and cold not warm up. after shaking for about 15 minutes at my desk I went to the restroom and lost my lunch. was an attack or something else? ever since then I'm ok just itchy and achey. > > Thank You > Randy

Guest guest
Randy: My doctors told me that if I get the chills and shivers that I should head to the ER for antibiots. You had the same thing that I had for about 8 months. This required 5 vists to the hospital and 5 ERCP's to unplug the bile ducts. Lots of luck and everyone will be thinking of you and wishing the best. LEE fm Seattle > > Im am still a newbie with all of the PSC stuff and was diagnosed in early may.
