Guest guest
I would be very leary of taking Rifampin for the itching. Yes, it worked great for me but it is now coming back to haunt me. I was on the tx list, number #1 in fact, and now have developed an infection in my vertebrae. To make a long story short, the Infectious Disease doctor I saw nearly flipped when he found out I had been on the Rifampin for the itching. He said this antibiotic is the "holy grail" of treatment and now my body has built up an immunity to it due to using it for itching. He will now have to find some other antibiotic to use and hope it is effective. So, beware and ask questions. OKC You rock. That's why Blockbuster's offering you one month of Blockbuster Total Access, No Cost.

Guest guest
Anyone with an itch to learn some interesting things about itching might refer to the July 3 issue of New Yorker magazine. It has nothing to do with PSC, and is not pleasant reading, but it seems that itching is more complicated than we might have realized. It's been a long time since I suffered with the itching caused by PSC, but it was brought back to me recently when I asked my dermatologist about the itching I was experiencing on my bald head. He asked me about my shampoo, and I realized immediately that the soap supplied at my fitness center was the culprit. Why didn't I think of that myself?
