Guest guest
Val said " I think chelation is VERY dangerous and should never be attempted until your thyroid and adrenals are RIGHT. " http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/message/40533 Getting to a healthy unhypo state may reduce or eliminate the need for chelation. Again, from Val's post: " When we are hypothyroid our bodies do not detox ANYTHING properly, thus YES toxic metals and poisons build up in our systems " This may explain why some people have lots of mercury fillings and yet are perfectly healthy. They are not hypo; they are able to properly detox the mercury; it does not build up in them. On the causes of RT3: there are many; not all are known. The almost-universal experience of this group is, however, that clearing RT3 is beneficial. And very often, yes, the RT3 comes right back if T3-only is discontinued. That happened to both Nick and Val (interestingly, Val has no mercury fillings at all.) > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > From: scdlymie <scdlymie@> > > > > > > > Subject: Re: Toxic Metals and RT3 > > > > > > > To: RT3_T3 > > > > > > > Date: Thursday, May 6, 2010, 8:14 PM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I have very high levels of mercury and lead. I've known about this for some time and all attempts to get this to detox has been pretty unsuccessful. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > However, my most recent urine toxic metals testing shows huge amounts of these being excreted. The main change has been T3 only treatment. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Due to the detox problems my doctor did a range of tests to look for where the methylation problem is, and there was only one area: glutathione conjugation. I've also added higher amounts of the raw materials (3 amino acids) to my supplement regimen. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > So only these 2 changes are showing very encouraging results. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Sherry > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > > > > > > > > > > > > > We are not medical professionals here, just patients sharing our experiences.
