Guest guest
Hi all from Conference! and I learned so much there. I know my husband and I don't post much, but I have a question about bruising. My husband has PSC as well as UC. In the last week, he has developed several large nasty looking bruises. He hasn't done anything to cause the bruises. They don't hurt, but more keep appearing day by day. Is this common? What should we do about them? On a side note, we are going to a new specialist at IU Med Ctr in Indianapolis this coming week. Wish us luck that we have a better expierence than our last specialist who handed us a prescription and said that he would see us in a year without discussing the disease(Not helpful). Guest guest
Easy bruising is not at all uncommon with liver disease, and is related to how well (or poorly) blood clots. Make sure they do a full liver panel test next week, especially INR/prothrombin time. http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/pt/test.html Arne 57 - UC 1977 - PSC 2000 Alive and well in Minnesota ________________________________ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Foga ....In the last week, he has developed several large nasty looking bruises. Guest guest
Hi , I've been told not to worry about bruises on the outer extremities (quite likely caused by accidentally bumping into something), but bruises to less exposed areas is more concern. Ask the specialist about them. Ian (52) PSC 89 Hi all from Conference! and I learned so much there. I know my husband and I don't post much, but I have a question about bruising.
