Guest guest
First, welcome to the club. You'll find it loaded with good advice for weight loss. I, too, feel like people look at me differently because I'm fat. I remember, in my thinner days, I would do the same thing to a certain extent. Well, God won't let me get away with anything, so I'm fat again. I've learned that people are all the same no matter what they look like and what color of skin they are. It's the inside of a person that counts, but sometimes you don't always think like that when you see someone for the first time. I remember getting all kinds of smiles from the opposite sex when I was thinner, but now I'm lucky to get much more than a grumble.lol Anyway, forgive my ranting incessantly and welcome to the club. I'm sure you'll like it here.
Guest guest
Kathy, Thank you for your kind words. And, welcome to the group. We will get our act together as the days pass, but as you could see from our reactions yesterday, we are still in shock over losing our . So, what about YOU? Where do you hail from, are you married, have kids, did I miss your original post? You can see that I was very distracted yesterday. Usually, I do a better job of keeping up with new subscribers. I am the single, adoptive mother of four, grandmother of two, with two boys still at home to raise. I was forced into disability retirement after 25 years working in the business end of education in our county, was also an artist, and still am trying to write as energy permits. I was dx'd with SLE, RA, Sjogren's, chronic Lyme's, chronic Myofibrositis, Anemia, non-insulin dependent Diabetes, and various and sundry little side "benefits" of having Lupus...all between the ages of 30 and 45. My symptoms actually started when I was 10, and I am now 55. I live in No. California, about 50 miles from San Francisco. Lovely area, temperate climate, but we get a lot of fog and rain through the winter and spring, and I feel every minute of it. In fact, I am a great weather predicter. LOL I believe that you will find the group to be helpful, funny, kind, supportive, intelligent and well-informed. We encourage questions, and if someone in the group doesn't know the answer, they will know where to look for it. Feel free to jump into any conversation going on the board, don't be shy. Again, welcome. Hugs, MM aka: Mike, one of the moderators
