MIne was perfectly OK with me taking coconut oil, said it made sense to him from a metabolic standpoint and that he just couldn't imagine it tasting very good! Colleen P.S. I eat raw honey too. Guest guest
I don't know that it has any. I'm using it in place of butter, as the chemical makeup of it is easier to digest and is more readily absorbed by the gut. For me it is a source of fat and calories that are easily digested. You could as easily ask, " what positive effect does pizza have on PSC? " None, probably, but I like it and I have to eat something! There are lots of claims about unrefined coconut oil. Some of the best info is here: http://www.westonaprice.org/knowyourfats/coconut-antimicrobial.html Colleen > > What postive effect does coconut oil have on PSC or other Autoimmune diseases? Guest guest
Coconut oil is supposed to give you extra energy. I'm not convinced it works, but some people swear by it.Marie To: From: lorijohnsonusa@...Date: Sat, 9 Aug 2008 05:07:46 -0700Subject: Re: Re: Body weight question - coconut oil - banned by hepatologist What postive effect does coconut oil have on PSC or other Autoimmune diseases? Guest guest
When we're discussing extra energy and good days/ bad days etc.. does anyone actually have good days? I'm starting to feel seriously fed up with everything lately. I'm tired 24/7, I go to work and sleep as soon as I get home and then wake up for work again... I don't know how many people here are from the UK, but there is no support for us, I'm really sick of having to shell out ÂŁÂŁ's every month for medication. How come we have to pay for the privilege of being ill? When I started my medication I thought it would solve everything and now a year later I still feel terrible, is this all there is to look forward to? Sorry for the annoyed post, I'm just bitter because people can actually have a life. I'm sure there are people worse off than us but I'm sure there are people a lot better off than us too. > > > Coconut oil is supposed to give you extra energy. Guest guest
Hi No you are not beeing annoying, its what is happening in your life. Yes I know how you feel. Sometimes (not very often) when I am feeling exhausted I start crying, Graham asks am I in pain. I say " No, I don't know if I am crying with exhaustion or crying because I can't do the things I want to or crying because I know that sooner or later I am going to be dependent on others to look after me " . But I am very lucky that I do have good days. I am not sure of what I can say to help, but have you tried talking over things with a counceller, sometimes its good to talk with someone outside of your immediate circle, they sometimes can see things that we have missed and perhaps set you off in a different direction than you are going. Best wishes > > When we're discussing extra energy and good days/ bad days etc.. does > anyone actually have good days? I'm starting to feel seriously fed up > with everything lately.
