Guest guest
I'm being treated for lymphoma right now. I hope your husband doesn't have it, but if he does they do have a lot of treatments for it now. We'll keep you in our prayers. athan

Guest guest
We have been waiting for the results from the bloodwork only to find out that the lab screwed up and only ran a CBC, not the cancer tests. So he had to go back today for more bloodwork and the results will take 72 hours. I can't believe they screwed something like this up. I am so worried and now I have to wait even longer. wife to Rick-crohn's, psc, spondyloarthropathy, gilbert's www.jaimeandrick.blogspot.com > > Will think of both of you over the next few days. Guest guest
I understand your frustration, When they draw blood I always ask what test are ordered and what they are for. There has been more than once that the order was not put in correctly or the doc office did not write the ordered correctly. Once at Baylor All Saints, When I asked they said we just need a CBC, and I replied I drove over 6 hours to see the hep. doc and she only wants a CBC?? I talked to three other nurses/lab techs who insisted that was all I needed to have and they did not want to double check with either the doc or my pre transplant coordinator. So I got out my cell phone and called them myself. Shortly after my phone call the lab called me and said I did needed other bloodwork done. This last time I had the same problem with a local doctor office who did not write the order correctly. As a nurse I kind of know what labs and the color of tubes they need to draw, but I play dumb and make them tell me what each tube is for. Don't be afraid to question every medical person who " works " on you what they are doing and why. PSC 5/07 Listed
