The one I generally use is Candlewood Suites. It's not walking distance from Mayo, so you'd need a car; but it's clean, has free laundry services, friendly staff, near to groceries, kitchen in room, on-site mini grocery, free movie lending library (for when you're stuck at Mayo for a long time), etc. If anyone wants more info, just let me know and I can find you their number, give you more specifics about the place, its location, etc. Hope everyone is well! Guest guest Posted September 2, 2008 Report Share Posted September 2, 2008 Barb and Sandi, Thanks for the input about the hotels, My problem is I am flying in by myself at night and don't really want to rent a car so I wanted to be within easy distance of a hotel that also has a shuttle to Mayo, since I will be going there every day early in the morning, Wingate is only one mile away and has a free shuttle to Mayo every half hour. It is also walking distance to restaurants and shops, so I guess I will pay my $99 and be happy especially since Mayo is in a tourist area and close to the beach it could be worse.
