Guest guest
Hi Janet, My quality of life with a stent is a 180 degree turn-around from without one! I have much more energy, nearly no itching, no jaundice, and I function fairly normally--it's really been my saving grace, to be stented. When I'm not stented my liver function decreases rapidly, I get VERY yellow, and I can't peel myself from the couch because of the fatigue. I had significant pain for about a week after my first ERCP/stent insertion. I suspect that this is because I had a sphincterotomy done during that procedure. I have never had any trouble since then, and I am continually re-stented every 6-10 weeks or so. Genevieve UC 1983, J-Pouch 1999, PSC 12/07 > > Hi, everyone.
