Guest guest
Thank you all for your responses! But about four hours or so after I posted about this, I ended up in the ER because the pain got so severe. It started at work with a pretty nasty flare-up, and I made the mistake of following some advice made without professional backing (I know, a truly stupid move, but I was so frustrated at this point, I didn't know what else to do) and pushed myself too hard bellydancing. I ended up spending two hours in the ER, and got some lortab (basically codeine and tylenol, lol) and a muscle relaxer and a letter from the ER doc that says I needed two days off from work/school. So I took the note to my boss and left my med. bracelet on and tried again to explain more in depth what I have and why that means I need to sit, and she agreed to give me a chair for friday and monday, but that i need to take it up with the higher-ups if i still need a chair for the new place (obviously, I do). I go talk to them on friday. It sucks that this had to happen this way, since it was the most intense pain I have ever felt, ever. I also called my doctor and basically told her that my medication was not working, and I'm waiting to hear back from them. It sucks that it had to come to something this intense to make them listen, moreso that something this debilitating has come between me and the only real form of exercise I get anymore...but now I know better, I guess. But again, thank you so much everyone! I really needed to hear from some people who actually believes my pain and understands what I'm going through. It's not fun to feel like you have to fight the world alone about this, so having support is wonderful Happy Halloween!
