Guest guest
Hi everyone, I noticed people have mentioned that they try to keep a low fat diet and also exercise. Why? How does it help the course of PSC or prevent cholangitis attacks? Lately I've lost some weight, though I'm still in the normal range (BMI-wise). I feel like I need more fat, partly because my period is irregular and, in the past that has happened when I wasn't eating enough fat or exercising too much. So here and there I've been trying to have steaks and fries and other such things (I generally avoid desserts and dairy because that makes my UC symptoms worse). Is that bad? Should I stick to low fat? Thanks! Ruth UC - 2000, Colectomy - 2007, PSC - 2008
