Finding an expert makes a big difference in the type of care you will receive. Guest guest
I think most people here would agree that if you HAVE to make the trek to the US for treatment, Mayo (either Rochester or ville) would be at or near the top of the list. My transplant center (University of Wisconsin - Madison) uses Mayo Rochester heavily as a resource and two of the most notable names in treating PSC here in the states ( Lindor and Greg Gores) are both in Rochester. Guest guest
Thanks for your reply. Looks like I'll have to go there since the doctors in Israel are not being much helpful so far, though I went to private doctors wi th PHDs...and paid a lot of money. I have no knowledge of the costs of medical services in the US at all. Can you give me a rough assessment of how much, more or less, a consultation with a good doctor in Mayo Clinic would cost me? Thanks a lot again. > > I think most people here would agree that if you HAVE to make the trek > to the US for treatment, Mayo (either Rochester or ville) would > be at or near the top of the list. Guest guest
I'm afraid I can't provide you any guidance on costs as my health insurance has (mercifully) covered the vast majority of our expenditures.
