Chaim...who is part of this website...lives in Israel too. You should

ask him who he sees in Israel. Finding an expert makes a big difference

I think most people here would agree that if you HAVE to make the trek

to the US for treatment, Mayo (either Rochester or ville) would

be at or near the top of the list. My transplant center (University of

Wisconsin - Madison) uses Mayo Rochester heavily as a resource and two

of the most notable names in treating PSC here in the states (

Lindor and Greg Gores) are both in Rochester.

Thanks for your reply. Looks like I'll have to go there since the

doctors in Israel are not being much helpful so far, though I went to

private doctors wi th PHDs...and paid a lot of money.

I have no knowledge of the costs of medical services in the US at

all. Can you give me a rough assessment of how much, more or less, a

consultation with a good doctor in Mayo Clinic would cost me?

I'm afraid I can't provide you any guidance on costs as my health

insurance has (mercifully) covered the vast majority of our

expenditures.
