Guest guest
The United Way Campaign has started in my community. At my place of employment, we have options to give through payroll deduction. This is a painless way to contribute to the general campaign or designate particular non-profits. I have several regional organizations I support this way. Last year I made a very modest contribute to PSC Partners Seeking a Cure Foundation on the write-in portion of the campaign materials. I made a small contribution because I was genuinely curious to see if my contribution would actually reach an out of state foundation. Much to my delight, the contribution went through. I plan to contribute again this year with PSC Partners Seeking a Cure Foundation as a write-in. If you live in a community or work for a company that encourages participation in the United Way Campaign, this is a painless way to designate a few dollars every pay period to support this worthy cause. It is easy. You simply need to include the full address of the Foundation: PSC Partners Seeking a Cure 5237 So. Kenton Way Englewood, CO 80111 I am not part of the PSC Partners board or affiliated with United Way in any way. In fact, this is my first post to the list. I have been a reader since 2004. Guest guest
I don't have much for the United Way as my brother in law was President of it in my city. I have a child that has had PSC/UC since he was 2-3 years old ,,,he is now 13. It has been a struggle, espescially after the loss of my husband. United Way could not help my child ,but the President and CEO's have some very nice expensive perks ! Marna > > The United Way Campaign has started in my community. Guest guest
My United way contribution is ALL directed to PSC Partners Seeking a Cure, in addition to my employer's matching gift. According to the Better Business Bureau, United Way administrative costs are about 14% (http://charityreports.bbb.org/Public/Report.aspx?CharityID=1994). I could give directly to PSC Partners, but I would lose my employers matching gift.
