Guest guest
This was a disturbing article that was critical of proponents of organ donations, since the number of people on organ transplant waiting lists is "bloated" since about 1/3 of people on the lists are in inactive status. Hopefully the article doesn't discourage people from being organ donors. There was a recent internet show (I think it was on reason.tv) that was hosted by Drew Carey that advocated allowing people to sell their body parts or organs, such as kidneys, part of their liver, etc. That was also a bit disturbing. I believe Iran is the only country that allows selling organs, and as expected, there is no shortage of organs for transplant there. The fear of course is that poor people will be exploited.Marie To: From: kxcp236v@...Date: Sun, 23 Mar 2008 01:30:02 +0000Subject: A third of patients on transplant list not eligible (Article) A third of patients on transplant list not eligible "Many classified as 'inactive' are either too sick or not sick enough" http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23751815/ Windows Live Hotmail is giving away Zunes.
