Guest guest
I went all the way. My daughter was very allergic to dairy and I was breastfeeding, so I had to do a total elimination, including things that contained whey and caseine - even if it was the most minute ingredient... I'm going to give it a try again. And if they go down, I'm going to see how far I can take it in terms of trying to include some dairy in my diet. > > How dairy-free did you have to go? Guest guest
have you tried goat milk? We get it from a farm and it doesn't taste like store goat milk at all. Ours is raw, but you can boil it for yourself if you want. arman_shirin@... Re: dairy-free? I went all the way. Guest guest
Goat milk contains caseine. Casien is an enzyme that is made by all mammals. I am allergic to casien and have to drink soy or rice milk. GOOD LUCK Re: dairy-free? I went all the way. Guest guest
Armin -- Raw goat's milk would be nearly impossible to get here in the US. About the only way you can get it is if you milk the goat yourself! Regards, Colleen > > have you tried goat milk? We get it from a farm and it doesn't taste like store goat milk at all. Guest guest
It shouldn't be too bad. I did it before. The worst was just trying to figure out what I could eat and getting recipes. Now that I already have the knowledge, I just need the willpower! I get another blood test in a month. That should be enough time for changes to show in the blood. " They " say that the diary takes about 2 weeks to clear from your system. Last time I asked the doc about it, they said it was merely a coincidence. So, I guess we'll soon find out... > GOOD LUCK >

Guest guest
Just be careful of Soy milk. It has estrogen and I have heard from others that it's not the best thing. I would do almond milk and rice milk. Good luck. arman_shirin@... Re: dairy-free? I went all the way. Guest guest
The whole soy thing is quite controversial with some claiming it's the health scourge of our times, and others saying it will solve all your health problems. The real truth is probably somewhere in between, but most reputable studies do support it's safety. This site: http://www.veganoutreach.org/health/soysafe.html has a pretty good (IMHO) discussion of some of the claims and counterclaims about soy and their merits. athan
Guest guest
You just have to live in the right state and know the right questions to ask to get a hold of raw milk. It is out there, but buyer beware. Make sure you know your farmer and how clean their operation is.
