Hi athan - You were able to get disability through your employer as well as SS disability? If that's the case, that would ease my mind a lot, since I'll only get 60% of my pay through my employer's disability when the time comes. Guest guest
That is how our Long Term Disability (LTD) works. When gets his SS disability, the LTD will decrease the amount of the SS disability. If we don't apply for SS disability the LTD will deduct the amount we would have received if we had filed. is correct, this is the way disability insurance works. I have spent more years than I like to admit working in benefits in human resources. LOVE & LIGHT Barbara (Wife of , PSC'07, HE, Chronic Pancr, Osteo, Diabetes, Listed)--- So I still only got 60% of my pay. I don't know if your disability would do it this way too, but I think it's pretty common, so you should check with them.athan
