Guest guest
I would also love to know about the itching because my doctor says I cannot take questarian because it will interfer with the absorbtion of my thyroid meds. AS for the ALP. I wonder if it could be something that is common for people with MS, RA, and Lupus. FOr many females with those disorders when they are pregnant they go into full remission; however, post-delivery they have a horrible resurge of symptoms? > > I was diagnosed 10 years ago. I had a baby in June 07. During the pregnancy, my alk phosphate and other liver enzymes were better than they were before. But the alka phosphate spiked afterwards and hasn't gone down. (My liver function enzymes are still normal and have always been.) My doctor checked for a stricture - but I don't have one. My disease, so far, has been in the small ducts - not the large ones. > Has anyone had a similar experience? Guest guest
This is quite common (feeling better during pregnancy), based on other's posts. The thought is that the baby's liver is working for both of you (for a change - . Guest guest
I switched to organic foods at the beginning of this year and my itching has not been as bad this year. I do believe the two are connected. I still get itchy a lot of the time, but the severity is no where near where it was before. I used to break open my skin and constantly had scabs. I don't have any scabs now and haven't for months. I'm not strictly organic, but just try to incorporate it as much as I can. I figure it's less junk in the body for the organs to process. I think it took a few months to feel the difference as my body did have to get rid of the junk that was in there. Also, for those rare times the itching does get bad I use Eucerin Calming Cream. It's a miracle worker. I found it at Walmart with all the other lotions. Hope this helps even a little. > > I have two questions, one, what have you found works for the itching -- to prevent it -- > > Thanks, >
