Guest guest
Ken's coordinator called, they've scheduled his angiogram for Sept 3rd (next Wednesday). They will go into his Hepatic Artery, blow up a balloon to plaster the clotted blood to the sides of the artery in order to open it fully and place a stent or two to keep it open.) The plan (repeat with me….subject to change) is for Ken to stay in the hospital 24 – 48 hours after the procedure. Thursday they will do an ultra sound to make sure the stent is where it's supposed to be and has opened the artery properly. The doctor told us Ken will be put on Plavix for 3 months and will have to take an aspirin every day for the rest of his life. With the 42 pills he's currently taking, what's 2 more? Ken's labs are pretty much unchanged since this last rejection, he's still jaundiced and not feeling very good, so we're hoping for good things to come from this stent. I won't update again until late Wednesday, unless something changes. Thanks for all of your prayers and well wishes, we appreciate them more than you know,Barb P.S.
