Guest guest
Whew! You guys sure post a lot. Just got thru reading 170+ posts that arrived in my mailbox over the past couple of days. Can't respond to 'em all (nor would you want me to) but WELCOME to the newbies, and thank God for all of us having another day to muddle through. Hope it's a good one. I went back to see the pulmodude at Emory, following up on my initial visit in January and all them tests! Was scheduled for a CT scan on Friday at 2:00, prior to the pulmodude appt at 3:20. Arrived in radiology at 1:10, only to wait and wait and wait. After SEVERAL checks with the radiology front desk, I myself had to call the pulmo desk to have them fax an order to the radiology tech, who didn't seem to have one. I ended up getting upstairs to the pulmo dept at 3:15. Grrrrrrrr. Anyhoo, the pulmodude says he is " troubled " by some further deterioration shown from the similar tests I had done in late September. And my platelet count is low. So -- now I need to see a rheumatologist to see if I might have some underlying cause for the PF. I've opted to see a local rheumette, since the drive to Emory is about 3.5 - 4 hours each way. Once I get in to see the rheumette, I guess she will probably order different bunch of tests. So it seems I have miles to go before a course of treatment (if any) is proposed. The good news is that the pulmodude does not feel oxygen is required at this point. B
