Guest guest
A fellow EMT who I work with informed me that Our Company uses dispatch codes to maintain patient confidentiality. We both agree that it DOES NOT maintain patient confidentiality, because NO PATIENT INFORMATION is broadcast over the radio, other than the type of call. We are both under the impression that Radio Codes were being phased out. Example- 66D1= difficulty breathing or 38B5 for a MVA with injuries. Any opinions out there? Thanks in advance to all who respond
