Guest guest
peaches, i'm sure margery val or nick will help you out here, but in my humble opinion, these labs do not look right? i seem to remember val saying that if your t4 is over half of the range that you have a definitive rt3 problem, and your rt3 at 237 in that range pretty much confirms... i realize you already know you have an rt3 issue, but that seems to be a high amount of t4/t3 thyroid you are taking. looks like your own thyroid is being sufficiently suppressed, so it is not making any more t4 (which is the objective, so it cannot then be made into more rt3)... but that means that all that t4 is coming from the nth you are taking,,, seems that this will not allow the receptors to clear from the rt3 if more is still being made to that degree and then going right back into the receptors.... or maybe your ratio is actually 30 based on these labs, if the t3 isnt falsely high due to pooling... so maybe thats good? idk, just my humble opinion, could be interpreting it completely wrong, but it looks like no one else is chiming in yet so i thought id share:/... on the other hand, if you are feeling well, you really cant argue with that!!!!!! > > Do these labs look " right " for one month into RT3 treatment - should I stay the course or go T3 only? > > Lab results from 6/9/2010. At 4 weeks into T3 treatment > Currently taking 3-1/2 NTH and 43.75 mcg T3 > > TSH <0.006 (0.45-4.5) > FT4 1.31 (0.82 - 1.77) > FT3 7.2 pg/mL (2.0-4.4) > RT3 237 pg/mL (90-350) > > Ferritin, Serum 99 ng/mL (13-150) down from 101 > > B12 and D requested, but not run - however, B12 has been up above 1000 and D has been up in the 90's. > > Feeling well. It appears to me that T3 is pooling in the blood while we wait for the RT3 to decay and release from the cell receptors. I imagine once the RT3 clears I will go very hyper. Is this correct? (I want to be armed when I hear from my Wellness Dr. that manages my thyroid meds). > > Thanks > Peaches_II >
