Guest guest
I saw that one of your posts you signed off " 2 years " I forgot to say something.. But totally kicking back and toasting with some luscious Napa SCD legal wine (dunno what grapes you dig) My 2 year line is coming up in Sept. Maybe with the surgery I will actually be in remission!? I sure hope so, it's been a friggen long time a comin'.. Would you consider yourself in remission between the SCD, LDN and Yoga? Or you feel you still have a ways to go? Rooting you on! Other things that I started in the middle of the month (like LDN) I can't recall as precisely (sometime in November, I think two or three weeks in.). Thanks for noticing!! > > I forgot to say something.. Well you said it now! > > > But totally kicking back and toasting with some luscious Napa SCD > legal wine (dunno what grapes you dig) I think some single malt scotch for this one! Since it's legal. > My 2 year line is coming up in Sept. > > Maybe with the surgery I will actually be in remission!? I think you'll be a ton better by then. And hopefully kicking the ass of the lyme disease as well now that your body won't have to put as much energy into trying to heal what it wasn't succeeding in healing! > I sure hope so, it's been a friggen long time a comin'.. Yep. > Would you consider yourself in remission between the SCD, LDN and > Yoga? Or you feel you still have a ways to go? Heh!! I dunno, precisely. Remission, I've learned is a little bit tricky to gauge. If I'm not in it, I'm close to it. I'm definitely way, way better than I was but there are some variances - which I think is probably normal (although who can remember after all this time ), and I have to pay some attention to the effects of some advanced foods and things like a lot of anxiety still have some effect. And cycle still effects me to some extent. So I'm beginning to think remission, like everything else with SCD, is a process as well and that it changes and strengthens over time. My last blood test apparently came back normal though, and even though it has been over a year since my last colonoscopy, my gastro didn't mention that I should schedule another one. So that's good. He was pretty impressed to hear that it was the LDN that worked for me, since his other two patients he tried on it didn't respond, but they didn't do the transdermal cream and I dunno (if they did the diet to accompany but doubt it. I have to send him a post with links but have been too lazy to put it together. To celebrate, last week, and as kind of research into what I could now stomach - in the, heh, IBD sense of the word, I made my old chili recipe with pinto beans when I turned two - and I did just fine with it - though I think it is best for me to space out the servings and not eat it several days in a row - at least for a while yet - I'll see if that becomes a fixture or if that, too, changes over time. Meanwhile, I'll skip a day or two days between servings. Anyway, that was quite a culinary leap for me to take - it wouldn't have been possible for me until recently. Last summer I distinctly couldn't even do red lentils. So, I'm way better and I can be way less finicky and can comfortably eat more advanced foods with minimal to no effects. Which I'm really thankful about But stomach and guts are not yet impermeable!! But I guess they don't have to be to be in remission. So, yeah, kinda, or mostly is the short answer.
