Hi All,

A quick bit about me - I found the SCD through another book on gut problems.

The author, a severe colitis sufferer, hit upon a combination that worked for

him centered around the SCD and is liberal with his praise and mention of Elaine

and the diet. So that's how I got started a little over 2 years ago, having

read his book followed by BTVC.

Recently I've come into contact with him and have shared regular e-mail

conversation. We're both on Facebook and he just started a Facebook message

board as an additional support resource for those of us that could use or would

like one. It's a brand new group however it might evolve into something

special. It's important to note that it's not in conflict in any way with the

SCD nor would its intention be to replace this resource. It's just another, I

suppose much in the same vein as Pecan Bread for example.

I'm not sure what the " rules " are for this board and I want to be respectful and

not step over any lines I might be unaware of. I had sent another person here a

couple of private e-mails to this point and did not get a response so I thought

I'd mention the availability of this additional resource and encourage anyone

who might be interested to send me an e-mail for more information.

On the other hand, if it would serve a greater purpose to post the information

to the group, I'd be happy to do that however I'd like some go ahead from

someone to let me know this would be okay or desired.
