Arne,

I want to thank you ahead of time for the happy re-birthday. We're going to the lake tomorrow morning so I would have been late thanking you. I'm doing great, liver counts are really good, but at 65 other parts seem to be slowing down. To all of you, there is hope so keep up the fight. Tim L

Sorry I haven't responded to your Happy re-birthday, but I have been in Milwaukee. My grandson turned 2 last month and he is the apple of my eye. We never know how long we're going to be here, so I spend as much time as I can there.

I have to chuckle about all the response to the date of my transplant. I guess I will have to clear it up. First of all I am not a HE. My given name is , but there were enough Cindy's, so I sign as my grandfather used to call me. I have not had a second transplant, as things have been going pretty good since I was put on TMP a few years ago. I still have bouts of chills & fever, but not as often as I did.

I do try to keep up on what goes on here. There are so many new members, that it sometimes takes too much time. I am excited about the conference coming to Chicago next year. Maybe I can finally afford to go, as it will be with in driving distance. It would be nice to put a face with the name. We'll just have to see how things go. I don't post often, but I do wish everyone the best.

My apologies for referring to you as a he. I'm glad you haven't needed the second liver transplant you thought you might need and hope and pray everthing continues well for you and your grandson.

Arne,

this looks like the wrong message you've copied?Ian

That picture of the ice fishing is the best way. Up here in northern Ontario it is hard to get the truck out on the ice, and it is too dam cold

to sit outside. So we have to use the snowmachine to get out to the hut. There we sit inside to keep warm and keep the fire on. I gave up on it many

years ago after one bad winter of deep snow and cold of -40 F. But if you ever want to have a look at the north here just go to my weather

web cam here...... http://www.almaguin.com/wxcurrent/weather.html

I donated 60% of my liver to my Husband on October 16th. He did

really good for the first couple of days, but then developed a major

infection. They are still trying to find out where it came from. He is

having an MRI late tonight and he may need another transplant because the

antibiotics are attacking the new liver. I was discharged today and am

getting better physically everyday, but I am on an emotional roller

coaster... I will keep eveyone posted.

Thanks for the wishes. We are both doing well. had some

complications in January, but recovered (potentially recurrence of PSC).

He had a PTC procedure and developed a major infection. The doctors

are still not sure what caused his numbers to increase, but for now

he is feeling good. is back in school to become a Biomedical

Technition. He was a Mason and decided to give his body a rest.

This is a great group. Thanks for all the support over the last couple

of years.
