Guest guest
Inga don't worry - no offence taken. I FEEL like a loonie bean when I talk about mercury making me feel bad. What I really wanted was reassurance that other people are getting these mercury dumps too, even after one year. Surely they must get less pronounced and less aggressive as time goes by and the mercury burden slowly comes down naturally or with chelation? DMSA has certainly helped with controlling symptoms with this latest dump, so it is definitely the way forward. Just got to keep going I suppose. thanks for your comments Nicola > > > Hey, I just wanted to apoligize, as my little well-intentioned joke > > didn't come accross right. > > > I was having trouble with my mail program, and so it omitted part > > of what Nicola had said.....and only put in my phrase below. I feel like a loonie bean, too. Better a loonie bean than a lunatic. (It's a matter of degree.) Talking about mercury can be a risky business. Depends who you are talking to and what you say, but it can get you a reputation for being a bit " off the deep end " . > What I really wanted was reassurance that other people are getting > these mercury dumps too, even after one year. Surely they must get > less pronounced and less aggressive as time goes by and the mercury > burden slowly comes down naturally or with chelation? I get them, too. Somewhat different symptoms (for some reason, I have *never* had the metallic taste), but I do notice within a few days after the end of a round, I start to get some twiddles and twitches, feel more tired and fluey/achy, and dizziness starts to worsen. I can't be off round for more than a week - I really need chelators to reduce the symptoms. I find I go through periods when this is worse (presumably when my body is naturally dumping more mercury on its own) and other times when it is not so bad. I tend to think the periods when I am dumping more are actually a sign that my body is working better. It can be kind of a mixed blessing, though. I think when it is working better, it is more important to support it well and it can be hard to keep up with what your body needs. > DMSA has certainly helped with controlling symptoms with this latest > dump, so it is definitely the way forward. Also anything that makes it possible to raise doses over time (such as if you have specific problems that could be evaluated/diagnosed and treated to help your body work better) is a good idea. -- > thanks for your comments > Nicola >
