Guest guest
I would love to go down there and just clean up your offices at minimum wage. I can't tell my wife that there are some openings down there. We come your way about 4 times a year and everytime, she starts looking for us a place to live. Do you have menial labor openings for a retired EMS Manager. I could be your color announcer and dispatcher. Retiring Jan 30, 2010. I signed up for Social Security and Medicare and there were some OLD people down there. They must be signing up late. Guest guest
Thanks for the feedback. We do have a turnover as we do take on in limited numbers fresh newbie paramedics and continue their training. Unfortunatly - some of them are very young and have not decided what they want to be when they grow up! We also sit 25miles south of Austin which does pay alot more for alot more work. The new paramedics will come here to do their time and learn to be a paramedic - then go to Austin to run lots of calls and make lots of money! Our call volume this last quarter was anywhere from 1.3 to 5.6 calls per truck per 24hr shift. (busy vs light truck). Oh and to be fair we loose the occasional medic to the amazing lure of the big red trucks! As to the other post - come talk to me. We have a 20 year old basic and a 73 year old paramedic. Thanks to all for the comments! all are welcome.... > > From: R.
