Guest guest
Fellow PSCer's, I got my call this past Wednesday night and was so excited! We got to the hospital within 30-45 minutes, checked in and got to my room. They immediately started all the prep. I had just finished my first enenma (about three hours later) and the nurse came in and said the donor liver was not good. I was free to go. Bummer. I found out the next morning that the chest xray they had taken showed a spot on one of my lungs which had not been there previously. I would need to see a lung specialists and have it checked out. My hep docs nurse who is the best, worked and worked and finally got me in the very next day for an appointment. I had a great doc here, too. She said it was a very tiny node but she would need a ct scan to make a determination. She got me in for the scan within 15 minutes! She said she would call with results on Monday morn. I thought I had been taken off the list but was informed I had not been. Not sure how this would play out if I got a call over the weekend. Needless to say the past few days have been like "Mr Toads Wild Ride" (used to be a ride at Disney World and was always my favorite). Prayers from lots and lots of prayer warriors and the good Lord walking beside me have gotten me and my hubby through this all. Just thought I would like to share the experience. It is therapy for me to put it all into words. A good friend and one of my prayer warriors shared these few lines with me and I thought they were awesome, maybe someone out there will feel the same.
