Guest guest
I am hoping that someone here can help me by maybe have a similar experience. I know this is a question for the adrenal group . I have been waiting so long for my cortisol results and they are finally here and the group is closed. I believe these test hold the answer to help me clear my rt3, but I need help. I am hoping someone here has had similar results and can tell me what I need to do. My cortisol is low in the am and maybe ok to a little low around noon. I think they are ok the rest of the day. So what do I do in the am? Here are my results: 7am 3.7 (3.7-9.5) 11:45 am 1.6 (1.2-3.0) 5:15 pm 1.3 (0.6-1.9) 9:40 pm 0.5 (0.4-1.0) Thanks to everyone who took the time to read this, S
Guest guest
Suzanne,I am not with the adrenal group but my doctor does do the 24 hr saliva. My last results came back with low morning also; even lower than yours. The rest of the day was ok. IF I can trust the lab....She wanted me to go with DIagnos Tech. She has me taking Isocort. She wanted me to take two pellets in the morning between 7 & 8am. I can only handle one pill at this point though. I was getting anxiety and feelings of doom which I haven't had since before I was diagnose with hypoT. It also has echinacia in it which is a problem also for me but I have been taking my allergy meds along with it. It helps somewhat but I cannot handle two. You may be different. Val also suggested because of those feelings and because I only needed one or two pellets, I might try Ashwaganda or Rhodiola (sp?) and follow the directions on the bottle and dose to how I feel. Have not tried that yet but I will probably do that as soon as I see my doctor and talk to her about it. She is a naturopath so I do not see a problem with her on it.VeniziaSubject: cortisolTo: RT3_T3 Date: Wednesday, June 2, 2010, 2:02 PM I am hoping that someone here can help me by maybe have a similar experience. Guest guest
Thanks for the info Carol. It really is helpful to have feedback. I think I have some of those supplements in a cupboard. I will try one until the adrenal group opens. Thanks again,S To: RT3_T3 Sent: Wed, June 2, 2010 1:58:52 PMSubject: Re: cortisol Suzanne,I am not with the adrenal group but my doctor does do the 24 hr saliva. Guest guest
Suzzanne, From what I have researched you probably want to be in the top quarter of the range at the morning reading. Some have even told me a little over is ok. At noon you want to be in the top 1/2 of the range. Your probably fine at 5pm and at bedtime. You want to make sure you don't go too low during the night or it could cause sleep issues. Your next step is to go on some sort of Adrenal support(cortex glandular or herbs or both) and monitor you oral temperatures 3 times a day. Start after 3 hours from waking and do every 3-4 hours. You want to be within a .2 degrees F range. When your temps become stable you will be ready for T3 support, if you have an RT3 issue. i know it is frustrating waiting for the board to open . Hang in there. > > > >From: Suzanne Kann <kannsuzanne@ rocketmail. com> > >Subject: cortisol > >To: RT3_T3 (AT) yahoogroups (DOT) com > >Date: Wednesday, June 2, 2010, 2:02 PM > > > > > > > >I am hoping that someone here can help me by maybe have a similar experience. > > > >I know this is a question for the adrenal group .
