I have followed Texasems-l for years and will sometimes post something I

think is of interest and will sometimes try and inject some humor. But, this

list has turned dark with political and religious arguments and statements.

Religious arguments are akin to kids arguing who has the best imaginary

friend. We all have our political persuasions and these are a part of who we

are. Yet, they rarely pertain to the practice of EMS and intellectual

discussion. Texas is in a slump, yet we are faring better than much of the

country (the unemployment rate in Las Vegas is 14%). This list is now

nothing but politics, innuendo, and argument. There are posts about GETAC

which, in my experience, is a totally inert advisory group. Hopefully,

things will improve. I will still be a a part of Texas EMS as my schedule

allows and will be speaking at the Texas EMS conference in Fort Worth (and

in Austin thereafter). But, I have to say adios to Texasems-l. My computers

(I have several in different locations) and my iPhone is filling with pure

drivel. This list is voluntary and people can post what they want. The

beauty of this list is that if you don¹t like what you are seeing, you can

sign off. Therefore, I am signing off.

C¹est la vie....
