The burning you feel does sound like nerve pain, doesn't it? I'm glad to hear the acupuncture seems to be helping. Do you take neurontin for the nerve pain? If so, does it help?My back pain is sometimes MS and sometimes from a car wreck injury. Sometimes it's a combination I think. For the past week I've had some squeezing in my ribs that feels like the MS Hug. But my ribs were also sore from coughing from a cold. Sometimes my back is so weak that I have a hard time standing up for long. hugs SharonThis

Sharon, my back pain is in the middle of my spine. My neurologist says it is nerve pain from my ms but the specialist that I saw says it might also be "mechanical" and recommended seeing a chiropractor. I saw just a chiro and it didn't help at all then I found out about one who also does acupuncture and this seems to be helping a lot. He says the combination of the two is the key. I'm just glad it seems to be helping. Oh and the pain is a burning pain that was getting worse and was to the point where all I wanted to do was lay on an ice pack all the time! What is your back pain like?Hope you have a great rest of the week! It's almost the weekend!!!>> Hi > > It's good to *see* you! Is your back pain from MS? Where is the pain

Sharon

I have tried neurontin and lyrica, but didn't help any. I've had the squeezing

before too I'm not sure why it's called a hug- felt like a death grip to me. I

was first diagnosed with ms in sept '04 and my back pain started in march '05

and has just progressively gotten worse over the years. I too have a hard time

standing up between my legs feeling so heavy And weak and my back sometimes I

feel like I'm 100 years old instead of only 42! :o) God certainly new what he

was doing when he blessed me with my 3 daughters early in life. Don't think I

could handle little ones full time anymore.

Hope your cold is gone now. It seems like every spring I get colds, allergies and

infections.

Have a great evening!
