Guest guest
<<My nephew ended up needing to be circumcised when he was five. Poor guy. It's always harder when they are older. I have two little boys and both were circumcised. It was a very hard decision, but I felt like my husband needed to have the final say. He was circumcised and felt that it truly is better than left undone. For us, it was not about cosmetics. I think it comes down to a personal choice, like everything else. We all end up doing what we each feel is right for us (and of course, our kids). >> Yes, I agree. I had read that circumcision was medically unnecessary and that it was becoming much more common for boys to NOT be circumcised. But first, I think that it IS still very common in the Midwest where we live. Secondly, my husband was not circumcised when he was born in CA, but he was raised in MO and begged to be circumcised when he was 13! It's a major deal when you're older. So I left the decision up to him. He felt strongly that we SHOULD do it with our son and do it while he was a baby. I guess he felt a lot of self-consciousness in the locker room... Becky Fussy?
