Guest guest
I'm so excited! I don't know if any of you watch the " Grey's Anatomy " spin-off show on ABC called " Private Practice. " (And sorry if this has already been posted... I get daily digest). Well, the doctor on the show is a gynocologist, . One of her patients tonight on the show has Vulvar Vestibulitis. She had been trying to figure out why this chick couldn't have sex and she found out she had VVS and something else (I forget, maybe she said vulvadynia.. couldn't hear cause i wasn't paying attention at first). Anyway, she explained what it was (the nerve endings, etc) and said she was going to give shots of lidocaine and such. i was hoping that they wouldn't say this was the cure, and they didn't. when the woman asked if she was going to be cured, doc didn't answer her. it's probably dumb, but i'm actually happy that someone addressed this (even if only momentarily) on a primetime tv show. it's such a rare disorder (and probably why it was shown)... but maybe it'll help someone who has VVS and hasn't been diagnosed to figure out what she has.
