Guest guest
I'm not sure exactly if this is like mine. what actually swells? I sometimes have so much pain from sludge attacks, that my ribs are bruised. But there is a possibility it coudl be costo chondritis. It's an inflammation of the sternum or ribcage. I thought that Ken Henshaw had that once? Forgive me if I'm wrong. It's quite painful. As I lose weight (covering on my bones) everything hurts more, but I have fibromyalgia. Does it hurt to breathe? That accompanies my pain. Hope you find relief soon. Take care, Cheryl ID, PSC/AIH/UC/IBS, fibromyalgia, etc. Ribcage pain > Hi, all. I hope everyone's having a great day! Guest guest
Sandi, I am no doctor, and I have never experienced what you describe, but is it possible that it is Ascites? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ascites Ascites is a known symptom with PSC. It seems like everything swells, but especially my midsection (stomach, pressure under the ribcage, legs and feet). My ribs feel permanently bruised, too and I do sometimes find it hard to breathe, like I can't get a good breath. I have noticed I hurt more on really " frail " days when I've lost a lot of weight (which seems to go up and down from minute to minute, hour to hour), but I pretty much hurt all the time now, swollen or not! Have you found anything that helps any of the symptoms or pain? I hope you're feeling better and having a fab day!
