I'm not sure exactly if this is like mine. what actually swells? I sometimes

have so much pain from sludge attacks, that my ribs are bruised. But there is a

possibility it coudl be costo chondritis. It's an inflammation of the sternum or

ribcage. I thought that Ken Henshaw had that once? Forgive me if I'm wrong. It's

quite painful. As I lose weight (covering on my bones) everything hurts more,

but I have fibromyalgia. Does it hurt to breathe? That accompanies my pain. Hope

you find relief soon. Take care, Cheryl ID, PSC/AIH/UC/IBS, fibromyalgia, etc.

Sandi,

I am no doctor, and I have never

experienced what you describe, but is it possible that it is Ascites?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ascites

Ascites is a known symptom with PSC.

Cheryl,

Hi! Thanks for writing back. It seems like everything swells, but especially my

midsection (stomach, pressure under the ribcage, legs and feet). My ribs feel

permanently bruised, too and I do sometimes find it hard to breathe, like I

can't get a good breath. I have noticed I hurt more on really " frail "

days when I've lost a lot of weight (which seems to go up and down from minute

to minute, hour to hour), but I pretty much hurt all the time now, swollen or

not! Have you found anything that helps any of the symptoms or pain?

I hope you're feeling better and having a fab day!
