Guest guest
Hi Val, I will give you a little run down to remind you what has been going on with me in hopes that you may have an answer for me. I was talking 105mcg of cytomel daily. Because my labs said my Ft3 was 9.1, I reduced that to 75mcg and gradually went up to 85mcg daily. Rt3 last lab was <17. My doctor put me on 2 Isocort in the morning because my 24 hr test said I was low cortisol in the a.m. but ok the rest of the day. I could only handle one Isocort because of the echineaca in it. I did try two for a couple of days but did not handle it well. In the last week, I am seeing some hypo symptoms coming back. The swollen face, tired, 3# weight gain when I was steadily losing and then staying the same. My question is: Is taking the Isocort requiring me to need more Cytomel than I could handle before taking Isocort even though I am only taking one Isocort a day? I cannot for the life of me understand why the hypo symptoms would rear it's ugly head again. My ferritin is on the high side. So I do not think that is the issue. Temps have been 98.0 to 98.4 Any thoughts are greatly appreciated! Venizia
