I use the Excalibur dehydrator. We have a whole bunch of 1 quart (or 32 ounce)

jars we saved from store bought (and non-SCD) applesauce. They work perfectly!

We usually do 6 quarts at once.

I start to use Excalibur for yogurt, not long ago. I have from Makro (a big cash and carry in UK) some plastic boxes of 2 litres each. This boxes are special created for food. But, the yogurt is not so good like in my old yogurt maker, in fact is sour. In both devices I have under control the temperature, so this is not the problem.

Do you experience something similar?

Should I use only glass jars?

In this case do you think that the bottom of Excalibur is strong enough to keep 4 or 6 litre of yogurt plus the weight of the glass jars?

Sorry about so many questions.

Thank you in advance.

Ramona
