Interesting - based on my experience, first with Accolate, then with Singulair,

this is just about the last side effect I would imagine.

I was depressed (with my asthma condition) before I took it, not after.

Singulair has been a lifesaver for me. I used multiple rescue inhaler

applications/day, in addition to 3-4 times/day corticosteroid inhalers, and 2-3

times/year prednisone bursts. I wore a dust mask most of the year (especially

in winter), couldn't run 50 feet in the winter, and frequently had to stop bike

riding in the spring and fall due to dry air triggering asthma.

I now treat my asthma with a single little pill in the evening. I never wear a

mask (for asthma), I can ski in the winter, bike, run, etc. with NO asthma

symptoms.

I feel GREAT now - obviously, I'm not the same as everyone (but I'll be happy

with this difference)!
