Guest guest
Well, it depends on the type of hair loss and cause imagine. However, specifically focusing on adrenal disease hair loss, women with adrenal disease can experience scalp hair loss, however, men don't. If men have scalp loss it is due to another cause. I think what they are saying in women our androgens are produced primarily in the adrenals (secondarily in the ovaries) whereas with men it is produced in the testes and not the adrenals so adrenal disease would not affect the hair the way it does in women. At least that was my understanding. Hair loss is listed as an adrenal symptom for women, but not for men. I thought my hair loss was all thyroid but now I think it is more adrenal related...not just the body hair loss...but scalp too. I think there is a link to DHEA too from some research I read this week but my computer crashed and I could not save it. That happens to me several times a day, ugh. Guest guest
This has some adrenal androgen info too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Androgen -----Original Message----- > I think the type of hair loss that they're referring to in that article is pubic hair though, right? I am a female with hair loss that began around the time my adrenals crashed. However, I am losing scalp hair and it is androgen-driven loss. .
