, how is your doctor treating your lichen planus? My doctor thinks I have lichen sclerosis.

HI,

You poor thing, I went through that a long time ago and the drs. kept

treating me for yeast. It would come and go. Now I only get it if I

have yeast or a bacterial infections and don't deal with it right away.

I have found applying topical over the counter Cortisone cream 1% gets

the swelling down as do cold compresses or ice in a cloth.

Are you seeing a specialist? My vulvar lichen planus evolved from all

those problems like yours that I had in the beginning. Use no soaps or

detergents onthe area. Wear only cotton panties and no panty hose.

Are you having any discharge? It may be an allergic reaction to

something new in your diet or on your clothing. Think about anything

different that you may have done right before this started.
