Guest guest
Budesonide is a steriod like prednisone but has the advantage of coating the gastrointestinal track with only 10% absorption into the blood. The hope is that it's effect will be strong on the gastrointestinal lining with fewer of the " prednisone " side effects on the rest of the body. It helps calm down Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis. I'm unaware of how it might affect itching in PSC. Everyone is interested in more effective treatments for itching. Good luck!
